The 39-year-old, who studied acting and ended up bartending, has already hit the ground running when it comes to representing Tommy Bahama at a slew of promotional events and mixing up signature drinks to promote rums from the Tommy Bahama line. Tommy Bahama has it all covered when it comes to hip branding from clothes and cocktails to recreation and restaurants. Known for promoting a casual but sophisticated lifestyle that translates into "life is one long weekend," the company has just named its first "rumologist," Jack Terry a former Plainville resident who now works (Bagatelle) and lives in Key West. Is Social Media Compatible with The Island Lifestyle?
That’s Tortola to my left, St. John in front of me and St. Thomas to my right. That means I can check Facebook, check-in on Foursquare and Tweet to all my friends and followers how awesome this day is. I’ll even take a picture which will be fired around the world within moments. Yet another day sitting in the sand in front of The Soggy Dollar on White Bay in Jost van Dyke. If I can see St. Thomas I can pick up AT&T 3G on my iPhone. A classic island cocktail, sand in my board shorts, sunburn on my neck, surrounded by friends and loved ones, looking at a fleet of sailboats gently rolling on translucent water. With the recent public launch of Google+, the upgrades (or downgrades depending on your perspective) to Facebook and the continuing social media crush that our society is experiencing I thought it would be good to pose this question to you. For the ladies, on formal night you might consider a dressy pant suit, simple black dress, or sequined cocktail dress. About 10% of the crowd will be in tuxedo on formal night, the rest will do a suit and tie or the look my husband goes with.
